Band Bios:

Partia, formed in 1995 in Warsaw, this is Poland’s preeminent Rockabilly trio. ( Leslaw- voice, guitar, Waldek- bass and Arkus-drums) The band has released its self titled debut album in 1998 on Ars-Mundi Records. This record also features the band’s chart topping hit, Warszawa i ja” (Warsaw and I).

A Boston based band, together since January of 1997, The Cyclones have been referred to as "The Kings of Exotic Trash" and "quite a shocking spectacle." Their lyrics reflect humorous experiences with sex, motorcycles and partying. The upbeat sound draws influences from 50's RnR, Old School Punk, Big Band Boogie and the Blues. Their performance is one of musical diversity, raunchy humor, total energy and swinging chicks on the dance floor.

TR6 -Headache records- INSANE FUCKIN'PSYCHOBILLY From N.J. 3 Piece mayhem which mixes up the sounds of 50's Rockabilly and punk of the 70's,80's and 90's with a dash of Black Sabbath.TR6 Proclaims that sex, drugs, motorcycles, and the devil's music are the path to enlightenment. Their first single "PSYCHOBILLY MAYHEM' on Headache Records, was released in Oct. of 98.Shortly after that TR6 were off to England to play the 11th BIG RUMBLE and some other venues in London. Their strong stage presence and powerful music has gained them a strong local following as well as great crowd reactions on the east coast as well as overseas. Approaching the millennium TR6 brings a new style and sound to the Psychobilly genre.

The life and sounds of the nineties come crashing into those of the fifties in this modern Rockabilly trio. Coming from a state known for its tie-dyed bands, Colorado's Hillbilly Hellcats tell stories of skateboards and hippies as well as white trash, whiskey, road rage, and trailer parks. " this trio rocks with real fire-and-brimstone conviction." - Orange County Weekly "white trash passion that's almost cinematic." - NY Press

Southern California's sickest, most backward ass hicks ever to play music. Barnyard Ballers are four inbred thick-necks out of San Diego who play the kind of Psychobilly you wouldn't want your mother to hear. These guys have been mutating this hard-core hillbilly sound since 1992. This lethal concoction of style and substance is producing one hell of a hootenanny. " Holly Hillbilly, these thick necks rock." - Maximum Rock n' Roll

The Sure Shots were born in 1982 in the North East of England. These guys have stayed on top by never loosing their enthusiasm for delivering a song. Since there beginning they have released eight record projects and have played with quite an impressive list of Rockabilly legends; Sonny Burgess, Charlie Feathers, Sleepy La Beef and Carl Perkins to name only a few.

Hot Rod dragin' sneeky Pete' guzzlin' shack shakin' rompin' stompin' delinquents - These guys are HOT! The Satellites have been ballin' it up for around four years as their current line up. Their style has been compared to that of; The Stray Cats, Eddie Cochrane, Jonny Burnette and Gene Vincent. With the recent success of their debut CD, BOP TONIGHT on Planet Records, expect to see a lot more of them in the near future.

Speed Crazy is a fresh new band, which mixes the timeless energy of Rockabilly with the edge of old school punk to create high-octane Psychobilly. Their no-nonsense, frenzied but professional stage show, minus the "rock star" attitude, constantly leaves the crowds demanding more. This trio delivers a powerful sound yet is far from cliché. "songs that sizzle." Asbury Park Press

The Ann Arbor quintet, Starlight Drifters, play a hybrid of honky tonk, folk, jazz, and rock with heavy Rockabilly leanings. Their look is Pomade for the "Pomp" and shiny suits for the ladies, but don't make assumptions about this bunch. Their sound is reminiscent but not overly reverent toward all things hiccupy and twangy. "Retro doesn't have to mean retread, and the Drifters prove it in spades." Metro Times "Catch these boys live. They are Hot." - Agenda

Purple hair, leather jackets and side burns, it's The Deadcats. Born on Friday the thirteenth 1994, This Vancouver based Canadian four piece outfit has got bollocks to spare. Washbucket basses, smoken' guitar and some genuine Hillbilly/Surf/Punk; this group is fast, furious and above all fun. These boys have more original songs than you can shake a stick at packed onto their two CDs. And their stage show's not only smokin' it's literally burning.

Born in the spring of ’94, The Phantom Cowboys are the world's only 'Voodoo Jive' band. The Cowboys are a force to be reckoned with. Critically acclaimed and swathed in sharp black suits and dinner jackets; their infectious gothic bop allied to ancient Rockabilly rhythms offers a totally new alternative to the legions of tired Elvis impersonators bogging down the Rock 'n' Roll scene, and making it attractive once more to a much wider audience.

The Outdoorsters took into the Rockabilly scene in early 1996. The Outdoorsters rocked up a storm and have been rockin' ever since. Though wearing cowboy hats, The Outdoorsters are known to perform WILD Rockabilly. The trademark is the hard hitting thunder on the 88's. The Outdoorsters are from Sweden and the inheritance of the Vikings shows in their wild music. This is a, never before released, alternate take of their trademark "Hillybilly Party".

The Megatones were formed in 1994. In 1998 The band recorded the album "Hot Stuff" and then moved to Finland.

All native Long Islanders, The Spinouts began collaborating in spring of '97. Delicately adding a slight edge to traditional Rockabilly music. Whether originals or favorite vintage covers, their natural talent and genuine love for the music come through. The Spinouts are currently blazing through the New York circuit, and are sure to please all lovers of Rockabilly music.

Slick Pelt is a thrasher "crunk" rock 'n soulabilly, Wily Coyote, swoonin, croonin, cow-biker band incepted in 1995: a raw outpouring o unchained energy. Their self produced debut CD, Hell From The Hills, has been making the rounds at alternative college radio stations. Their live shows pack the punch and unstoppable renegade vitality of early Springsteen, but their hybrid sound is an adrenaline rush of "pure Pelt". "sweaty Rockabilly with a heavy metal edge" - Creative Loafing "Big, bad ass, Rockabilly from Brooklyn's Slick Pelt blows away the competition" - The Musician's Trade Journal

The Coronets are an Authentic Rockabilly band from the west of Japan. They love 1950's America, not only the music but also clothing, furniture, cars, pretty much everything 50's. They organize a Rockabilly party called Rockin' Presents at clubs in their home town. Their shows are most exciting in Japan.

Custom Built Magazine - There’s 18 bands in this compilation, nine from USA and nine from rest of the world. Again, there’s great variety of styles: psychobilly, rockabilly, hillbilly and straight rock’n’roll. Skully Records is doing great job with these releases, showing that these cool forms of music are doing well all over the world!!

In Music We Trust - Volume one of Black Jacket Racket was amazing. Volume 2 helps shape the rockabilly scene with some great dance rock 'n' roll sure to let the greaser in you run free.
Jamboree -  Finally we have the second volume of this series dedicated to the international rockabilly scene. It's a good bunch of stuff, and anyone who needs a more than occasional musical charge ought  to grab it.

Bopin' Around - Vol. 1 in my opinion had too much psychobilly (a question of taste, but we are a pure 50's magazine!) but this one (vol. 2) has a lot of real rock 'n' roll and some rockabilly; - Best from the best songs: the perfect Sureshots,  the savage sounding Cyclones and the Starlight Drifters who deliver a 'must for rockers'-song with great lyrics and great sound.

Rock N Roll Purgatory - Eighteen tracks of superb rockabilly here, and I mean all sorts: psychobilly, punkabilly - whatever you wanna call it. I love this stuff. Just about every band here has extremely talented musicianship, and many have decent, if not outstanding, vocals. Anyone who likes rockabilly needs to taste at least some of the bands off this sampler platter.

Atomic - This second compilation from indie label Skully Records offers an eclectic mix of modern day rockabilly. Jammed rim-to-ri with rocking tunes, this disc proves that rockabilly is alive and well around the globe.

Lethologica - Eighteen tracks of superb rockabilly here, and I mean all sorts: psychobilly, punkabilly - whatever you wanna call it. I love this stuff. Just about every band here has extremely talented musicianship, and many have decent, if not outstanding, vocals. Anyone who likes rockabilly needs to taste at least some of the bands off this sampler platter.
